Worlds Best Chocolate Chip Cookies


Yup, thats right . . These are the worlds best chocolate chip cookies! & They are gluten free, dairy free, corn free, buttttt not sugar free (sorry!)

This is a recipe that has been past down in my family, that on National Homemade Cookie Day I just couldn't resist sharing with you! I love to take old recipes and make them into healthier versions, or at least into the healthiest version I can, while making them absolutely deliciousss at the same time! So you'll will have to try these out for yourselves and let me know what your think ;) So far, my family and extended family has fallen in love with them !! & the best part is, they have no idea that they really aren't terrible for you ;) hehe

Here is what you will Need;

1/2 cup of lard ; I get my lard from the Greener Pastures Farm; you can check them out here, you

1/2 cup cane sugar

1/4 coconut sugar (or brown sugar)

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup of flour ; I normally use the Namaste Flour Blend for these because its corn and gluten free. However you could pretty much use any flour of your choosing.

1/2 tsp sea salt

1/2 tsp baking soda

3/4 cup chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 375

Cream together the first five ingredients in a mixing bowl.

Once its mixed nicely together add in the flour, salt and soda and blend well.

Stir in the chocolate chips.

Place spoonfuls of the dough onto sheets of parchment paper ; I usually weigh each of my cookies to be about 35 grams each :)

Bake for 12 mins / no longer and let them cool for 30 seconds to a minute before taking them off the pan and placing them onto the dry wrack . . They may not seem cooked but they will crisper up once out of the oven.

You just must enjoy at least one that has cooled for a few minutes fresh from the oven . . they are crispy, gooey, and SOOO delicious!

*Makes about 17 cookies at 35 grams each cookies

* You can double this recipe and freeze some if you'd like as well.. Or eat them! Whatever ;)
