WOW .. Is all I can say about these delightful gluten free biscuits !! There is definitely SO many options for those who have food allergies today. I have a corn allergy myself, and I haven't even found it that hard to avoid when your use to clean eating!
These delicious biscuits can be made without cheese and into a plane biscuit, or you can add in different things like herbs and spice, garlic, and brushed with butter freshly warm from the over :)
Here is what you will need;
2 cups of namaste perfect flour blend 3 tsp baking powder 1 tsp sea salt 2 tsp cane sugar 1.5 cups shredded cheese 8 tbsp cold butter or lard 2/3 cup any milk of choice 1 egg .
Directions
Preheat oven to 450
Combine first 4 ingredients together in a bowl
Cut in the butter with a pastry cutter until the butter is in tiny pea size lumps .. Make sure it is well cut into the flour or they won't stick well when rolling them into your biscuits
With a fork gently mix together egg and milk in a separate bowl
Pour in milk and egg mixture, with the cheese, into the flour mixture. Gently toss together with a fork until its mixed together, do NOT over mix or it will result in dense biscuits!
Flatten 3 inch balls (so thy are about 3/4 of a inch thick) - I usually make about 17
Cook for 12 mins or more depending on your oven, til they are slightly brown on top! Enjoy warm with butter and tea ! MMmmmmmmmm
