Mmmmmmmmm is all I can say about these delicious ewy gewy brownies!! Inspired by Chocolate Covered Katie and a lot of the recipes she has to share, I agree with her on the fact that I eat chocolate probably every single day!
These peanut butter brownies have been a family hit for quite some time and I think it time to share the recipe with you all, so you can pass along the love to your family as well!
What you will need;
- 1/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce
- 1 cup of nut to you creamy peanut butter OR your choice of nut butter
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup & 1 tbsp of flour ( I usually use sprouted whole wheat or sprouted spelt flour)
- 2/3 cup of cane sugar (you can use another sugar of choice or less amount as well)
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 2 tbsp of milk (I usually use almond but again, you can use what you would like)
Directions
Mix first six ingredients well, you will need to stop a few times to scrap down the sides of the bowl to make sure that the nut butter is well mixed. It might seem a bit dry at first but thats ok, once it is well mixed you can add in up to 2 tbsp of almond milk, but only if its needed! Once this is done gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Cook at 350 in a 8 inched greased pan for 10 minutes. It will seem undercooked but thats ok! It will firm up as it sets.. Let it cool for at least 20 minutes or more. Cut into squares & enjoy!!
